Welcome to the new home!

This is the spot where I'll be sharing my thoughts on all things photographic, whether that be new toys, experiences or simply sharing some new images - this is the place you will find me rambling!

Last week the photography fairy brought me what is widely regarded as the best portrait lens on the planet - a new Canon 85mm 1.2 L II - which gives the most amazing bokeh (or blur) and depth of field.  My daughter wasn't too impressed - preferred the iPad! - and then she had a snigger when I told her how brilly brill the new glass was!  However, despite this put-down from a teenager I did manage to dust myself down and capture a delicious shot of our cat, Benny, to show off his stunning blue eyes and that wonderful bokeh!
